The Amazon Kindle review – Three reasons to buy Amazon Kindle

Amazon has been selling the new improved Kindle in the UK for a few weeks now, and we’ve heard amazing reports about its new improved whiter screen with really black text. So we thought it would be a good idea to put the new Kindle to the test and compare it with our current favourite ebook readers.
And we concluded there are three good reasons why if you’re buying an ereader, then you need to buy Kindle :
1. It’s light and good looking – Amazon has listened to customers and made the alpha keyboard down the bottom smaller, neater and less obtrusive. While on the old Kindle , the keyboard screamed “Ugly” at you, on the new UK Kindle, you hardly know it’s there, until you want to use it. And it’s light as a feather – even lighter than a real book.
2. The new screen is so much clearer than the previous screen. The background which is grey on all other ebook readers is practically white on the Kindle 2, and the text is so much blacker. The display now could almost pass for ink on paper. And remember THIS IS THE ONLY 6 inch EREADER WITH THAT SCREEN. Yes, all other devices, whoever makes them, use the old technology and whatever they look like, the screen is the very screen that went in the Kindle 1 – with a greyer background and grey rather than black text.
So the only way to get this new generation screen and the ultimate reading experience is to get the Kindle.
3. At a little over £100, it’s amazing value and by far the cheapest ebook reader of its size. Yes you can pay a pound or two less for one with a 5 inch screen, but to get the full paperback size reading experience you need a 6 inch screen like the Kindle’s. And you can’t, as we write, get another 6 inch ebook reader for anything approaching Amazon’s price. AND all the others have got the old, grey screen.
The cheapest Kindle comes complete with Wifi for downloading books, though of course you can plug it into any USB port on your computer and transfer them that way. We don’t think the 3G version is necessary as you’ll be downloading books at your leisure, but if you do want it, it’s only £40 more.
So check out the Kindle – the only ereader with the best display – on the link below: It’s a no-brainer.
