Amazon Kindle now in the UK – preorder now at amazing prices

Yes, Amazon has announced the Kindle for sale in the UK. You can order yours now, and at these prices you’d be mad not to.

There are two versions of the UK KIndle – one with Wifi, and one with 3G.
The Wifi Kindle can, as the name suggests, use only Wifi for downloading books, magazines and other reading matter. The 3G version can use Wifi as well as 3G, so wherever you can get a 3G signal in the UK, you can download your Kindle ebooks.

And of course on both versions you can read your ebooks to your heart’s content without being connected either to Wifi or 3G – the connection is purely for downloading new material.
And as with other ebook readers, you can also load ebooks straight from your computer via USB cable.

And the prices? Only £109 for the Wifi Kindle, £149 for the Wifi and 3G Kindle. Both with the same great Kindle screen and facilities.
